    PhD-Student*in »Dynamic Simulation of Flexible Cable«

PhD student »Dynamic simulation of flexible cable«

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research units throughout Germany and is a leading applied research organization. Around 32 000 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.4 billion euros.

The »Mathematics for the Digital Factory« (MDF) department bundles the activities for the development of software tools for virtual product development and product creation.

A core topic of the MDF is the modelling and simulation of cables and hoses. Cables under dynamic loads are becoming increasingly important and must be modelled as realistically as possible in the simulation model.
