Intro
The Operational Data Management Officer role involves creating dashboards in PowerBI, managing operational data applications, overseeing data quality and user access permissions, designing standard reports, providing technical support, conducting data audits, and supporting data management systems. Tasks
- Creation of dashboards in PowerBI and data visualization
- Manage and oversee the use, maintenance, and technical support of core operational data applications
- Perform database administrator functions in relation to local field server machines
- Respond and manage user access permissions for staff and partners
- Design and develop standard reports, templates, and forms
- Identify, diagnose, and escalate technical user errors and bugs
- Oversee capacity building and guidance of technical users and administrators
- Monitor user management and conduct regular clean-up of user accounts
- Analyse and respond to user requests and queries
- Assist with data quality assessment and data mapping
- Conduct data collection audits and field testing of new functionalities
- Support the design and strengthening of operational reports and statistics
- Support discussions and definitions of business requirements for interoperability of local tools and applications
- Keep apprised of evolving technology and new business needs
- Provide business analysis for operational needs
Requirements
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in data management
- Technical expertise in registration and operational data management
- Knowledge of SQL or Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Knowledge of UNHCR data standards and procedures
- Experience with UNHCR systems including PRIMES, PowerBI, Salesforce, and Kobo forms
- Strong data visualization skills
- Ability to analyze raw data and create dashboards
- Ability to present data in a format usable by management
- Ability to create and present information on maps
