Intro
The Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) is offering a fixed-term contract for a Scientific Employee to work in the Bioinformatics in Medicine research group. The project focuses on developing an early warning system using data and artificial intelligence to strengthen economic resilience in Germany. The role involves collaborating with project partners, developing industrial-grade solutions, implementing technical infrastructure, and reporting on development work. The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in Computer Science, expertise in Python, deep learning, and distributed systems, and excellent communication skills. Tasks
- Collaboration with project partners for data-driven research
- Developing industrial-grade solutions and products
- Implementing technical infrastructure for project partners and users
- Reporting and presenting development work
- Working on machine learning workflows
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in open-source software development, particularly in Python
- Familiarity with preprocessing and preparation of multimodal data
- Expertise in deep learning topics and generative models
- Knowledge of distributed systems and High-Performance Computing
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong team player with research affinity
- Methodical and conceptual strength
- Creativity and commitment to project implementation
