Your Role
As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in securing envelio’s infrastructure and systems, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, and fostering trust with our customers and partners. You will also act as the Deputy to the Information Security Manager, working closely with them to implement and maintain envelio’s overall security strategy. Together, you will ensure that envelio’s security practices remain robust and aligned with both current and emerging threats.
How You Make an Impact
- you serve as the deputy to the Information Security Manager, stepping in as needed to lead security initiatives and represent the security team
- you work closely with the Information Security Manager to develop and execute envelio’s security strategy, policies, and objectives
- you identify and assess security risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate vulnerabilities
- you lead or support efforts to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring swift resolution and prevention of recurrence
- you configure and maintain secure systems, networks, and applications, adhering to IT security frameworks and industry standards
- Lastly, you observe and evaluate technological trends in the IT security sector and are able to integrate them into our IT system landscape when needed
Your Profile

- you have proven experience in IT security engineering, ideally in a SaaS or energy-related industry.
- you have experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
- you are familiar with network security, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection and have a strong understanding of security protocols, encryption, authentication mechanisms, and threat modeling.
- you have hands-on experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
- you have strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- you have an ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Languages:
- Fluent in English
- German is a plus
