Intro
The Syria Justice and Accountability Centre (SJAC) is seeking a motivated intern with an interest in transitional justice and the conflict in Syria. The intern will be responsible for communicating SJAC's message to Syrians and the international community, supporting analysis and research, and contributing to the mission of preventing impunity and promoting redress for victims in Syria's post-conflict period. Strong English proficiency is required, and Arabic proficiency is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of MailChimp, Google Analytics, Excel, and Adobe Suites is desired. The internship is based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid work model, and interns are paid at a rate of $17.50/hour. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Tasks
- Maintaining social media accounts and promoting new analysis and events
- Designing relevant communications materials, including infographics and factsheets
- Contribution to and maintenance of the website
- Providing research support for articles and reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong English proficiency
- Arabic proficiency preferred
- Knowledge of MailChimp, Google Analytics, Excel, and Adobe Suites desired
- Ability to work from the office in Washington, DC
- Paid internship at $17.50/hour
- Internships typically 30-40 hours per week
