Internship in the Events Management team of the Global Solutions Summit 2025 at the Global Solutions Initiative Foundation gemeinnützige GmbH
The Global Solutions Initiative Foundation gemeinnützige GmbH is currently looking for an Intern (d/f/m) in the Events Management team to support the preparation and execution of the Global Solutions Summit 2025.

The Global Solutions Initiative (GSI) is an independent, non-profit organization. Founded in 2017, GSI established itself as a guiding force in global policy through its advice for international fora like the G20 and G7. With a comprehensive program of research, outreach, and advisory activities, the GSI brings together policy, academia, civil society, and the private sector. Based in Berlin, GSI strives to recouple economic progress with social and environmental prosperity to improve global governance and the everyday lives of people around the world.
The Global Solutions Summit (GSS) is the world's premier forum for transforming research into policy for the G7, G20 and beyond. It advances global economic, environmental, and social prosperity by connecting thought leaders and decisionmakers, visionaries and pragmatists from policy, academia, civil society, and the private sector. Held annually in Berlin, next year's conference will take place on May 5-6, 2025. The Summit gathers about 1,000 international high-level participants for two conference days.
An internship within the framework of this international conference offers an outstanding opportunity for future events managers to receive insights and training on the job, while the GSI colleagues will be happy to welcome an extra pair of eyes, ears and hands to the team.
During your internship, you will be an integral part of the events team, flanked by service providers. In 30 to 38.5 hours per week, you will support the events management team in terms of logistical matters and event production processes and be working with the PR, program and outreach teams at GSI.
You would support the team in tasks such as:
- Participant communication, e.g. by supporting the invitation and registration processes, providing program information, editing info mailings and preparing web texts
- Creating participant experiences, e.g. by hiring artists, planning meeting points at the venue or organizing guided tours
- Livestream production, e.g. by editing titles, inserts and updating production plans
- Speaker management, e.g. through editing profiles with photos and CVs or welcoming speakers onsite during the Summit
- Event evaluation, e.g. by analyzing attendee lists, polls and participant behavior and preparing them for presentations
We are looking for the following qualifications and qualities:
- Professional on educational insights into events and/or communication management
- Structured, traceable and solution-oriented working methods
- Affinity to work with digital events tools (in our case an online registration system, a digital events platform and a web content management system)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Well versed in MS-Office applications
- High team-mindedness, reliability and sense of responsibility
- Confident appearance and appropriate tone in dealing with colleagues and guests of different backgrounds
We would also highly appreciate:
- Fluent written and spoken German
- Professional references in events management
- Enrollment in related programs of study or education
- Confirmation of a compulsory work experience
