Junior Research Group Leader*in im Bereich AngioCardioScience
HI-TAC seeks two Junior Research Group Leaders in the field of AngioCardioScience
Heidelberg/Mannheim | HI-TAC
The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in the Helmholtz Association is an international biomedical research center dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms of health and disease with the goal to devise new diagnostics and medicines. The MDC is a member of the Helmholtz Association, Germany's largest scientific organization, and offers an engaging research environment with cutting-edge research infrastructure. Currently, ~1250 employees and ~500 guest scientists work at the Berlin-Buch and Berlin-Mitte campuses. Our diverse workforce is a core strength that inspires creativity and innovation at the MDC.
The MDC is committed to improving human health through transformative biomedical research. Our goal is to pioneer discoveries for preventing, treating, and ultimately curing disease.
The HI-TAC, a branch of the Max Delbrück Center at Heidelberg University, is realized in collaboration with the Medical Faculties of Mannheim and Heidelberg. HI-TAC is pioneering a systemic approach to cardiovascular communication biology, termed AngioCardioScience. Its research is dedicated to understanding cardiovascular function throughout lifespan and in disease, with a focus on how vascular and cardiac cells interact with each other and other organ systems to maintain homeostasis. This involves understanding effects of external influences, such as metabolism, solute balance, systemic inflammation, and neuronal regulation. By studying these interconnected systems, HI-TAC aims to gain novel insights that will advance early disease detection, prevention, and intervention. HI-TAC is currently in its development phase and will offer a state-of-the-art facility for 100 scientists to conduct research at Heidelberg University, in partnership with the Max Delbrück Center and its collaborators in Berlin. Join our team and become part of our dynamic new Helmholtz Institute.
