The "Explainable Artificial Intelligence" (XAI) group focuses on the development of powerful methods, and the analysis of aspects of interpretability and explainability in machine learning. A core research of the group is the intersection of explainability, fairness and robustness of machine learning models. We are looking for an experienced Frontend or Fullstack Developer with strong expertise in TypeScript and excellent skills in either Angular or React. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building production applications for end customers and has a keen eye for design and user experience. Become a part of our team and join us on our journey of research and innovation!

What you will do

• Develop and maintain highly interactive web applications using TypeScript and either Angular or React

• Collaborate closely with designers to translate concepts into interactive prototypes

• Utilize tools like Figma or in-browser development for rapid prototyping

• Implement highly responsive and accessible UI using HTML and CSS

• Work with backend teams or contribute to fullstack development when needed

What you bring to the table

• 2+ years of experience in building and delivering production applications.

• Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) or comparable qualification

• Expertise in TypeScript and proficiency in either Angular or React.

• Expertise in large web application state management using NgRx or Redux

• Strong understanding of HTML and CSS for creating pixel-perfect UIs.

• Experience collaborating with designers and creating quick visual prototypes.

• Knowledge of design tools like Figma and the ability to prototype directly in the browser

The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is explicitly desired.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
