    Energy and Process Technology Student

    What We’re Looking For: We seek enthusiastic and proactive students who are passionate about energy technologies and climate solutions. Key qualities include:
    • Strong self-motivation and initiative.
    • Teamwork skills, reliability, and a genuine interest in both practical and theoretical research.
    • Willingness to acknowledge and fill gaps in knowledge.
    • Understanding of fundamental heat transfer and thermodynamics concepts.
    • Enthusiasm for working on direct air capture technology.
    Preferred Skills and Experiences: While not required, the following skills are considered a plus:
    • CAD proficiency in commonly used software.
    • Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus).
    • Familiarity with gas/solid separation processes.
    • Ability to read, understand, and create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
    • Experience in similar work environments or processes.
    • Hands-on crafting experience (e.g., industry internships).
    Your Responsibilities: As part of our process team, you will play an active role in:
    • Assisting with the development and realization of our pilot plant.
    • Designing and constructing components that will be assembled in the MakerSpace.
    • Conducting research to optimize processes and components.
    • Assembling components in the MakerSpace in Garching.
    • Evaluating the performance of the pilot plant once operational.
    About Us: We are a non-profit registered association (Eingetragener Verein), focused entirely on research and providing valuable hands-on experience for students. Please note that this position is unpaid.
