Intro
TenneT, a leading European grid operator, is seeking a passionate Cloud Platform Engineer to join their Digital & Data team in Bayreuth. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the technical foundation of the TenneT Data Cloud Platform, supporting product teams by automating infrastructure, and enabling developers to focus on application development. The role requires expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
Tasks
- Automate provisioning and management of resources
- Develop tools and scripts to automate platform operations
- Integrate monitoring and alerting systems for monitoring platform health and performance
- Optimize platform performance and efficiency
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Maintain containerized document controlling python application deployed using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Requirements
- Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools like Azure Pipelines or GitHub
- Excellent communication skills in German, English is a plus
