    The mission of the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) is medical translation: transferring biomedical research findings into novel approaches to personalized prediction, prevention, diagnostics and therapies and, conversely, using clinical observations to develop new research ideas. The aim is to deliver relevant medical benefits to patients and the population at large. Since 2021 the BIH has been integrated into Charité as its so-called third pillar.

    For the team Clinical Incubator (CLIC) starting from the earliest possible date limited until 30.06.2029 we are looking for an Business Development Manager (f/m/d) in full-time or part-time

    The Clinical Incubator for Novel Regenerative and Personalized Therapies is intended to act as a catalyst to support the implementation of new research findings in the field of regenerative medicine and to accelerate their transfer into clinical applications and products. This includes targeted services, project financing and regulatory advice to support high-quality translational approaches. The Business Development Manager at the Clinical Incubator (CLIC) is a dynamic leadership role responsible for driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and creating impactful initiatives within the Advanced and Personalized Therapies (APTs) innovation ecosystem. Reporting to the Head of the Clinical Incubator, this role combines strategic planning, cross-border collaboration, and execution of high-value programs to accelerate the path from research to clinical application.

    What you can expect

    • Lead strategic initiatives to expand CLIC’s ecosystem, identifying opportunities for new programs and partnerships in Europe and beyond.
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis and feasibility studies, delivering actionable insights for organizational growth.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align business strategies with CLIC’s long-term goals.
    • Build and manage partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and international organizations.
    • Develop and secure partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value and sustained collaboration.
    • Serve as the primary contact for partners, aligning their goals with CLIC’s mission to drive innovation in life sciences.
    • Design and deliver high-impact programs, including global health roundtables, innovation showcases, and workshops.
    • Create European-level initiatives that enhance CLIC’s profile as a leader in the life sciences ecosystem.
    • Develop and execute events that connect startups with investors, mentors, and key opinion leaders.
    • Lead data collection, reporting, and knowledge management to support strategic decision-making.

    What you bring along

    • Master of Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management, Innovation, or Entrepreneurship; or Master of Science or M.Tech in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or Digital Health; a PhD in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or Medical Technology is advantageous.
    • Extensive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem building within life sciences, MedTech, or digital health.
    • Strong background in market analysis, alliance management, and commercialization of healthcare technologies.
    • Proven ability to manage cross-border initiatives and engage with diverse stakeholders across the U.S., Europe, and emerging markets.
    • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and securing partnerships in innovation-driven environments.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
    • Expertise in data analysis and reporting to drive informed strategic decisions.
    • Proficient in CRM tools, project management platforms, and tools for licensing and intellectual property management.

    • Pay group up to E14 TVöD VKA-K. The classification is based on qualifications, the respective experience level is calculated on the basis of professional experience.
