Backend Developer (m/f/x) at Scaletech

To strengthen our international team at our Potsdam headquarters, we are looking for a full-time Backend Developer (m/f/x) as soon as possible.

Developing and maintaining robust backend services for the core functionality of our application.
Taking ownership of the application, focusing on continuous improvement and maintenance.
Leading the definition and implementation of front-facing APIs.
Ensuring seamless communication between applications and databases.
Designing, implementing, and maintaining backend infrastructure.
Creating new data-driven features for managing emissions on our platform and contributing innovative ideas for enhancement.
Planning for potential migration initiatives.
Staying updated with the latest frameworks and technologies for API and backend development.

A master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information technologies, or similar.
Extensive experience with Laravel and PHP for web application development.
Experience using Composer for dependency management.
Expertise in cloud technologies, CI/CD Pipeline, Docker, GitHub and Laravel Sail for consistent development environments.
Strong understanding of SQL databases and data formats, including JSON and CSV with metadata.
Expertise in PostgreSQL setup, configuration, and maintenance.
Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu) server administration for reliable and secure operations.
Experience in designing and developing high-volume data applications.
In-depth experience with REST APIs, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
Experience with planning and executing project migration across different tech stacks.
Proficiency in English.
Knowledge of React and front-end development (nice to have).
Knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3) (nice to have).
Experience with Python, Flask, FastAPI (nice to have).
