    Intro

    The Group Tax and Transfer Pricing team provide global oversight to ensure full compliance with tax laws in the jurisdictions in which we operate, and that commercial arrangements are designed and implemented in accordance with the Group Tax Strategy and Tax Risk Appetite. We are looking for a German Tax Specialist to join our Group Tax team in Berlin.

    Tasks

    • Work with tax advisors to prepare tax filings for the German group entities.
    • Support with ongoing tax audits for the German group entities.
    • Calculation of tax provisions during the financial year-end closing.
    • Support with and supervise the organization around financial statement audits from a tax perspective.
    • Lead on the collection and collation of information for German CFC calculations.
    • Research German tax issues with potential to impact business and/or P&L as they arise.
    • Liaise closely with Indirect tax and Transfer Pricing colleagues, as well as the Accounting, Controlling and Legal teams as required.
    • Assist the Head of Tax Compliance & Dispute Mgt with the implementation of new tax forecasting tool, Tax Governance Framework, and Regular Tax Management Information pack for management.
    • Proactively own and manage the operation of the Group Tax Compliance Calendar.
    • Help develop and maintain corporate policies and processes within the tax function.
    • Help to identify tax risks and proactively contribute to their mitigation.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Finance or a comparable degree
    • Fluent in English and German – other languages are advantageous
    • Proficient in standard IT software such as Microsoft Words, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with Microsoft Teams
    • A minimum of three years experience in tax
    • Good team player, pragmatic and flexible
    • Effective communication skills (oral and writing)
    • Eager to learn and owns their learning journey/ career path
