Intro
The Assistant Individual Giving Officer role at UNHCR is dedicated to supporting fundraising efforts to secure support from individuals through regular donations, cash appeals, and legacies. The role involves collaborating with global and regional teams, managing key initiatives, and providing technical expertise in individual giving strategies. Responsibilities include mystery shopping, community management, webinar organization, best practice guidance, and support on various fundraising projects. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in fundraising or related fields, project management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint, and fluency in English. Desirable qualifications include knowledge of the United Nations, proficiency in other UN languages, experience in emergency fundraising, and multicultural work environments. Key competencies include accountability, communication, teamwork, and organizational awareness. This is a full-time remote position with global collaboration and standard working hours from Monday to Friday.

- Mystery shopping
- IG Community SharePoint management
- Support on preparation for supporter journey framework workshops for markets
- Webinar, skillshare and capacity building organisation & support
- Support on global Middle Donor community
- Support on global Telemarketing community
- Support on Gift in Wills as needed
- Support on Data Activation project
- Support PSP IG Officer on IFL webinars
- Supports the coordination of the global Face-to-Face Community of Practice working group
- Contributes to the development of the DRTV SharePoint site
- Prepares content for new creative campaigns for dissemination
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, marketing, advertising, International Development or similarly relevant subject
- Minimum 1 year of experience with undergraduate degree, no experience with Master’s degree
- Expertise in donor acquisition channels, donor retention, and donor development methods
- Proven project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking
