Intro
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is seeking a National Project Officer to promote responsible digital wage payments in the Philippines. The role involves coordinating with national stakeholders, executing activities, monitoring progress, and providing technical support to expedite implementation. The officer will also stay informed about national development plans, organize seminars and workshops, prepare reports, conduct research on the impact of digital wage payments, and foster relationships with various organizations. Fluency in English and knowledge of the official language of the duty station are required.
Tasks
- Assist in designing activities to promote transition to responsible digital wage payments
- Coordinate, execute, and monitor activities related to digital wage payments
- Stay updated on national development plans and provide analysis on findings
- Provide technical advice and support to national partners
- Organize seminars, workshops, and training sessions on digitization of wage payments
- Prepare reports on progress and contribute to knowledge products
- Foster contacts with stakeholders and promote collaboration
- Conduct research on the impact of digital wage payments
- Serve as a focal point on digital wage payments within the organization
- Draft or translate documents and public information materials
- Participate in missions to monitor programme implementation
Requirements
- First level university degree in economics, finance, business management, or related field
- At least two years of experience in enterprise development, financial inclusion, or digital payments
- Excellent command of English and good knowledge of the official language
- Knowledge of programme and budget administration concepts
- Strong analytical and drafting skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and web applications
