Intro
The Green Climate Fund is seeking a Policy Researcher to provide comprehensive support to the Independent Evaluation Unit for policies and Board-related affairs. The ideal candidate should have experience in articulating complex issues, working in an international setting, and establishing relationships with key partners. Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and familiarity with climate change topics are essential. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of another UN language is advantageous. The deadline for applications is 20 September 2024.
Tasks
- Provide technical support for board meetings and related activities
- Support development of policies and key documents
- Assist with evaluations, capacity building, communication, and data analysis
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct policy research and analysis
- Support negotiation of institutional policies and legal matters
- Assist with evaluations at corporate and project levels
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience working with Senior Management
- Master’s degree is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to articulate complex issues verbally and in writing
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with climate change topics and evaluations
- Strong competence in standard software programs
- High emotional quotient and mature judgment
- Capacity to work long hours as needed
