The Specialist role involves managing emission reduction projects, supporting project development under various carbon standards, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires expertise in climate change, project management, and carbon markets, with a focus on sustainable technologies. The role also includes site visits, technical support, proposal preparation, and networking opportunities. Candidates should have a degree in environmental sciences or related fields, 2-3 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. Tasks
- Assist in assessing, developing, and delivering GHG emission reduction products under various carbon standards
- Support coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders for efficient delivery of credits from successful registration and issuance processes
- Participate in validation and verification processes, site visits, and project sourcing activities
- Maintain project information and support in proposal preparation
- Participate in networking opportunities and support regional commercial team in sourcing new project leads
Requirements
- University Degree in environmental sciences, forestry, or climate change-related fields
- 2-3 years of work experience in climate change with project management experience
- Knowledge of carbon products and markets, familiarity with carbon standards like CDM, VERRA, GS4GG, CCER
- Excellent communication skills in English, ability to manage targets and priorities
- Valid Indian passport for travel
- Hands-on experience in carbon project development, community-based sustainable technologies projects, and IREC projects is a plus
