Intro
The Cyberspace Exercise Planner, Senior role involves organizing diverse groups to build a shared understanding of complex challenges, facilitating problem-solving and implementation of solutions, developing exercise plans, and providing input for joint operational planning in support of training and exercises in the Cyberspace environment. The position requires experience with JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats, leading Joint Operations Planning, and designing and executing Command Post Exercises. Additional qualifications include briefing senior leaders, project management experience, and knowledge of JTP and JELC doctrine.
Tasks
- Organize diverse groups to build a shared understanding of complex challenges
- Facilitate collective problem-solving, analysis, and implementation of new solutions and best practices
- Develop exercise plans and directives through operational art and operational design
- Provide input to briefings and assist in the coordination of joint operational planning
- Contribute to data analysis to design accurate exercise materials
- Participate in response cells replicating staff processes of Joint Staff and Combatant Command Headquarters
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats
- 5+ years of experience with guiding as a Joint Operations Planner
- Experience with leading or materially contributing to the design, planning, organization, and execution of exercises
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
