Intro
The Expert 6 position in the "Deforestation-free supply chains" program in Ecuador aims to improve sustainability in agriculture and aquaculture supply chains for cocoa, shrimp, livestock, timber, and pitahaya. The expert will advise on gender and youth mainstreaming, support digitalization strategies, integrate cross-cutting themes, develop training materials, and implement traceability systems. Qualifications include a master's degree in relevant disciplines, 10 years of professional experience, and specific experience in development cooperation and private sector engagement. The position requires proficiency in Spanish and English.
Tasks
- Advise on intervention strategies for gender and youth mainstreaming in agriculture and aquaculture supply chains
- Support the development of intervention strategies for digitalization in supply chains
- Design activities focusing on cross-cutting themes in program portfolios
- Develop training materials and virtual platforms
- Assist in selecting and supporting projects and alliances between companies and producer associations
- Advise on implementing traceability systems for livestock chains
Requirements
- Master's degree in social sciences, digital innovation, agricultural-environmental sciences, or related disciplines
- Fluency in Spanish (B2) and English (C1)
- 10 years of professional experience in relevant discipline
- 4 years of professional experience with supply chains and work packages
- 2 years of experience in development cooperation projects
- 2 years of experience working with the private sector and mainstreaming sustainability, gender, and youth
