Intro
The Senior Inter-Agency Coordination Associate role involves supporting coordination work within the Inter-Agency Coordination and Information Unit. The incumbent will bridge between different sectors and task forces, contribute to coordination strategies, and ensure consistency in standards and capacity. The role also includes information management, organizing events and workshops, engaging with donors and local organizations, and staying informed of relevant developments. Minimum qualifications include relevant experience and knowledge of UNHCR and interagency policies.
Tasks
- Provide support in bridging between different sectors and task forces
- Contribute to the implementation of coordination strategies at sector level
- Support in preparing sector strategies, work plans, and budgets
- Ensure consistency in coordination standards and capacity among sectors
- Act as information management focal point for sectors
- Facilitate information flow between sectors and update relevant portals
- Organize presentations, events, workshops, and trainings in line with sector work plans
- Stay informed of political, social, and economic developments impacting the working environment
- Establish and maintain contacts with donors and local organizations
- Support risk management and decision-making in the functional area
Requirements
- 4 years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or 2 years with Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of UNHCR and interagency policies, standards, and humanitarian operations
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collect, analyze, and communicate information effectively
- Experience in humanitarian coordination and emergency response is an asset
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Publisher
