Intro
Back Market, a leading refurbished electronics marketplace, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Developer Experience (DevXP) team. The role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure components and deployment tools within the Platform tribe of the Bureau of Technology department. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in code reviews, propose continuous improvements, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and optimize performance and scalability of components. Strong knowledge of Python, Bash or Go, infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and CI/CD, cloud computing (GCP/AWS), and experience with Frontend languages and frameworks are required.
Tasks
- Participate in the design and development of toolings, processes, and workflow for all engineers
- Maintain and evolve the development and deployment tools for different projects
- Collaborate with various teams to understand needs and provide tailored solutions
- Propose and implement continuous improvements to optimize existing tooling functionalities
- Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and security issues
- Optimize performance and scalability of components
- Lead workshops and present at meetings
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Python, Bash, or Go and Infrastructure tools like Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Cloud computing (GCP/AWS)
- Experience with Frontend languages and frameworks (JavaScript, TypeScript, VueJs)
- Senior experience in CI/CD, Release topics, and the DevOps world
- Knowledge of software architecture principles, service integration, and development best practices
- Leadership skills to manage projects and guide teams
- Excellent communication skills
