Intro
The Product Database Specialist I at Linetec is responsible for developing and maintaining multiple databases used for estimating, order entry, purchasing, scheduling, and manufacturing of standard and configured parts. The role involves managing database projects, global part lists, standard part databases, and engineering policies. The position requires a degree in Engineering/Technical discipline or related experience, strong project management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/DWG Viewer. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain multiple databases for estimating, order entry, purchasing, scheduling, and manufacturing
- Manage database projects including development of schedules and system testing
- Maintain standard part database for ERP system
- Regulate engineering policies and procedures
- Ensure departmental goals are completed on time and within budget
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering/Technical discipline with experience in database management
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Thorough understanding of business processes related to ERP system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/DWG Viewer
- Logical thinking and ability to read/write functional logic arguments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
