Tasks
- Direct interdepartmental and external team members to ensure project requirements are met
- Identify risks and opportunities and resolve issues
- Submit project deliverables adhering to contract requirements and quality standards
- Prepare project status reports
- Develop strategies to monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, and risks
- Establish and execute effective project communication plans
- Facilitate change requests and inform all parties of impacts
- Oversee development and delivery of project reports and customer progress reports
- Coordinate development of user manuals and training materials
- Identify and develop new opportunities with customers
- Manage customer satisfaction within project transition period
- Conduct post-project evaluation lessons learned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
- Master's degree in business or related field a plus
- 7+ years progressive experience in project management
- Experience in rail, aerospace, or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred
- 5+ years experience leading groups in a matrixed organization
- Budget management experience required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
