Intro
Stadler, a leading manufacturer of rail vehicles, is seeking a Product Manager Modernization to develop and implement standard service solutions, manage budgets, analyze markets, foster collaboration, and shape product strategies in the railway industry. The role requires expertise in transport systems, mechanical or electrical engineering, product management, and sales, with a willingness to travel across Europe. Fluency in German and English is essential, and experience in the railway sector is advantageous. Tasks
- Develop and implement standard service solutions with customers, suppliers, engineering, purchasing, sales, and management
- Manage a significant budget and strategically allocate resources to maximize return on investment
- Continuously analyze the market and implement customer needs in innovative products
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure cohesive product strategies aligned with business objectives
- Stay updated on railway industry trends and innovations to maintain competitiveness
- Represent the company in regular customer contact and maintain relationships
- Evaluate and define international product strategy with top management and sales team
- Train organization in new service products and implement standard material like product descriptions and offer templates
Requirements
- Completed studies in transport systems, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or economics
- Professional experience in industry, ideally in sales, product management, and/or service
- Experience/further training in product management
- Experience in railway industry is a plus
- Good knowledge of German and English, other languages are an advantage
- Independent working style, analytical ability, and willingness to make progress
- Willingness to travel across Europe (20%)
