Intro
The Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine - Cognitive Neuroscience is seeking a PhD student in Motor Neuroscience to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive and motor function in healthy participants and patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders. The successful candidate will be part of the Motor Cognition Group, focusing on normal motor behavior across the lifespan and the neural mechanisms of apraxia in stroke and dementia. The position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Tasks
- Design, acquisition and analysis of behavioral and neuroscientific data in healthy participants and neurological patients
- Presentation of results at conferences and manuscript writing
Requirements
- Completed study (Diploma/Master) in Motor or cognitive (neuro)science, Psychology or related discipline
- Programming skills in Matlab, Python, or R
- Excellent English communication skills
- Previous research experience with experimental methods or motor and cognitive neuroscience techniques
