Intro
The Manager of Principal & Major Gifts at the Vera Institute of Justice will work with the Development team to secure funding from High-Net-Worth Individuals and Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals to advance Vera's mission of transforming the criminal legal and immigration systems. The role involves managing a portfolio of donors, developing donor strategies, collaborating with colleagues on fundraising initiatives, and supporting donor engagement events. The position requires strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and a commitment to promoting justice and equity. The Manager will report to the Brooklyn, NY office and adhere to a hybrid work schedule.
Tasks
- Manage a portfolio of donors

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Portfolio management experience
- Ability to travel less than 15% of the time
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfort with online fundraising tools and databases
