Intro
The Research Software Engineer position at the European Open Science Cloud involves working in the Scientific Computing Center to support open science and innovation through the European Open Science Cloud. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing software requirements, software development and configuration, participation in project meetings, and documentation of results. The role requires a strong technical understanding of web services and workflows, programming experience, and knowledge of Linux and Docker. Tasks
- Mitarbeit in EOSC BEYOND zur Unterstützung von offener Wissenschaft und Innovation durch die European Open Science Cloud
- Erhebung und Analyse von Software-Anforderungen
- Software-Entwicklung und Konfiguration zur Integration von Helpdesk-Systemen mit weiteren Diensten
- Teilnahme an Projekttreffen, Dokumentation und Präsentation von Ergebnissen
Requirements
- Abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium (Master /Diplom (Uni)) in der Fachrichtung Informatik oder Naturwissenschaften mit vergleichbarer Erfahrung
- Starke Kommunikationsfähigkeit und idealerweise Erfahrung mit internationalen Teams
- Tiefes technisches Verständnis von Web-Diensten und Workflows (REST API, Authentifizierung, etc.)
- Nachgewiesene Programmiererfahrung
- Kenntnisse in Linux und Docker sind von Vorteil
- Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
