Intro
Lilium is seeking a Senior Engineering Software Development Engineer to build tools and methods to support the Engineering organization. The role involves developing efficient tooling for aircraft development, integrating tools into workflows, and automating validation processes. The ideal candidate should have a background in Engineering or Computer Science, at least 5 years of experience in engineering roles with software development aspects, and proficiency in high-level languages like Python or C. Experience in aerospace engineering, simulation tools, data modeling, web application frameworks, and analytical thinking is beneficial. Strong collaboration, self-reliance, and motivation to improve analysis tools in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Tasks
- Develop tools to analyze the current state of design
- Integrate tools into existing engineering workflows
- Assist in the development of bespoke tool architectures
- Build Frontends for existing offline engineering tools
- Automate validation/verification of the current state of design
Requirements
- Engineering or Computer Science master's degree
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering roles with Software Development aspects
- Solid knowledge of high-level languages like Python, C, C#
- Experience with aerospace engineering topics
- Experience with simulation tools and data modeling/science methods
- Experience with web application frameworks, Bash scripting, and Linux administration
- Strong analytical thinking ability
- High level of self-reliance and ability to work in a team
- Strong motivation to help engineers achieve their targets
- Fluent English language skills, fluent German or other languages beneficial
