Intro
Patch is seeking an experienced climate and strategy professional to fortify Patch’s marketplace as a Climate Integrity Lead. The role involves partnering with carbon project suppliers, entrepreneurs, and technologists to enhance trust, integrity, and transparency in carbon markets. The position requires significant experience in sustainability or climate-related fields, a strong understanding of carbon project technologies and market trends, and the ability to build and iterate upon integrity processes. The role also involves collaborating with various teams to achieve commercial objectives and delivering valuable market insights.
Tasks
- Act as an integrity subject matter expert for technical climate questions, project diligence, and supplier onboarding assessments
- Develop and own commercial relationships with ecosystem partners elevating integrity, trust, and transparency in carbon credits
- Collaborate across Patch’s GTM, Engineering, Product, Design, and Partnerships teams to achieve commercial objectives
- Strategize and operationalize new business processes across Patch’s supplier network
- Facilitate a positive, partner-obsessed experience with team members and customers
Requirements
- Significant years of technical or academic experience directly working with stakeholders in sustainability or climate-related fields
- Willingness to work directly with external suppliers and internal teams to build and iterate upon integrity processes
- Strong grasp of carbon project technologies, participants, suppliers, and market trends
- Ability to think strategically about adding value to partners and team members through market insights
- Track record of independently delivering work and influencing others
- Experience communicating value to partners and team members through market insights
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to client locations
- Willingness and ability to work from the office in San Francisco or London a few days a week
