Intro
The National Officer position at the ILO Office for Latin America and Caribbean in Brasilia involves supporting the implementation of projects focused on promoting the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, particularly in the areas of preventing forced labor and child labor. The role requires collaboration with partners, designing project plans, monitoring progress, and providing administrative and financial support to ensure project success. The position also involves participating in conferences, preparing reports, and supervising project contracts. Candidates should have a university degree in relevant fields, at least two years of project management experience, and proficiency in Portuguese and either English or Spanish.
Tasks
- Review and analyze country-specific development plans and priorities
- Collaborate with project partners and donors to design and revise project work plans
- Monitor progress of project activities and follow up on delayed documents
- Provide programming and administrative support to cooperation activities in promoting decent work
- Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and training sessions
- Lead in the preparation of reports and statistical data on project activities
Requirements
- First level university degree in economics, public policies, development studies, or a relevant field
- At least two years of professional experience in project management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
- Excellent knowledge of Portuguese and excellent command of English or Spanish
