Intro
The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Natural Sciences 3 is seeking a PhD candidate for a part-time position in the DFG-funded Integrated Research Training Group of the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) SNP2Prot "Plant Proteoform Diversity". The position involves biochemical, cell, and molecular biology research focusing on NAC transcription factor proteoforms in plants. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on structure-function analyses, cloning, molecular characterization, complementation of mutants, and presentation of scientific data. Strong English language skills, a background in biology or biochemistry, and experience in plant molecular biology are required. The deadline for applications is July 31st, 2024.
Tasks
- Conducting biochemical, cell, and molecular biology research
- Cloning and molecular characterization of transcription factor proteoforms
- Complementation of mutants and phenotypic characterization

Requirements
- MSc degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field
- Experience in plant molecular biology and transcription factor characterization
- Skills in statistics and R
