Intro
The Education Officer position at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) focuses on providing operational support, policy direction, and strategic guidance for the provision and expansion of access to quality education for refugees, particularly through the Connected Education program. The role involves reporting on program impact, project management, capacity building, stakeholder management, and contributing to the overall strategy of the Connected Education team. The Education Officer will work closely with Regional Bureaus, country operations, and external partners to ensure the successful delivery and monitoring of the Instant Network Schools program.
Tasks
- Support reporting and project management in Connected Education
- Ensure delivery of Instant Network Schools programme
- Monitor and report progress of programmes
- Provide M&E support and capacity building
- Conduct field assessments and develop working relationships with stakeholders
- Contribute to the overall strategy of the Connected Education team
Requirements
- Degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, project management, and results-based management
- Proficiency in English, knowledge of French, Arabic, or Portuguese is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Relevant project management certifications are a plus
