Intro
The CLC Finance Manager at EIT Food is responsible for ensuring sound financial management practices, effective reporting and accounting functions. They collaborate with internal teams, oversee financial operations, and establish robust reporting processes. The main duties include financial oversight and reporting, financial operations and compliance, systems development and ERP implementation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have a master's degree in Finance or a related field, solid experience in finance and accounting, proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels. This is a full-time permanent position based in Bilboa or Madrid, Spain, with occasional travel within Europe.
Tasks
- Set up, maintain, and produce timely monthly financial reports for management review.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive financial reporting process.
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget.
- Ensure the effective management of multiple grant agreements.
- Maintain a high level of technical accounting knowledge.
- Oversee compliance with grant conditions.
- Lead improvements in the purchasing process.
- Develop requirements for a new ERP system.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Solid experience in finance, accounting, and reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with specific experience in NetSuite preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels.
