The Deutsche Allianz Nichtübertragbare Krankheiten (DANK) is a coalition of 21 scientific-medical societies, associations, and research institutions. Their goal is to advocate for sustainable and nationwide primary prevention in Germany. DANK is committed to preventing non-communicable diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular and kidney diseases, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases. They believe that these diseases can often be avoided through appropriate preventive measures. DANK International is part of an international network that advocates for better prevention policy at global, regional, and national levels. The alliance unites various medical-scientific professional organizations and represents over 800 individual organizations in 170 countries. They lead the global civil society movement in the fight against preventable disabilities and deaths from non-communicable diseases.
