Technical Support Employee - pay grade E11 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen
Subject to the position becoming vacant
For representation; part-time employment may be possible
The employee will be placed in the specified pay group if all personal and pay scale requirements are met.
Tasks
- Cooperation in an international team of researchers
- Conception, construction, implementation and evaluation of experiments with research robots
- Planning, purchasing, installation, and maintenance of research infrastructure
- Design and production of 3D-printed parts, development of mechatronic systems, design of printed circuit boards as well as software development and maintenance
- Maintenance of a computing cluster
- Procument taking into account current regulation and data protection
- Maintenance of department website and servers
Requirements
- Technical education (successfully completed degree qualifying for entry into the upper grade of civil service resp. into the equivalent level of qualification [FH-Diplom, BSc in the fields of Computer Science, Technical Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similar fields of study]) or employees with equal abilities and experience
- Abilities and experience in accordance with the responsibilities above, the use and development of mechatronic systems (robotics, electronics, mechanics)
- Very good programming skills in C++, Python
- Good knowledge of Linux, Windows, CMS-systems, and CAD software
- Knowledge of system administration and network technologies
- Very good knowledge of English required. Knowledge of written and spoken German or willingness to acquire it
Desirable:
- Solid craftmanship
- Trustworthiness and strong communication skills
- Experience from a lecture given by our department is a plus
- Knowledge in software engineering
