    Einführung

    The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology IISB offers a position for a student research assistant focusing on Optical Proximity Correction for Photonics Applications.

    Aufgaben

    • Conduct a preliminary review of existing optical proximity correction (OPC) methods and approaches
    • Use the Dr. LiTHO software to determine the point spread function of a two-photon lithography system and convolve it with grayscale layouts to simulate printed patterns
    • Implement and apply software prototypes of selected OPC techniques to correct pattern distortions
    • Document all steps of the OPC implementation, including the use of Dr. LiTHO and prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate progress and findings

    Voraussetzungen

    • Enrolled in a Master’s program in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, mechanical engineering or related fields
    • Proficiency in Python with an emphasis on object-oriented programming (OOP)
    • Understanding of direct write lithography, materials simulation and polymer physics is highly desirable
    • Good command of written and spoken English
