Student assistant (f/m/d) in fibre laser development
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research units throughout Germany and is a leading applied research organization. Around 32 000 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.4 billion euros.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT is a leading centre for contract research and development in the field of laser technology. The ‘Lasers and Optical Systems’ department develops customised laser beam sources for various applications. The fibre laser group, for example, is involved in the development of fibre lasers for quantum technology applications, gravitational wave measurement and climate research. Depending on the application, these systems can be used either on earth, in aeroplanes or in satellites. Both experimental and theoretical tasks are carried out in these subject areas. We are therefore looking for student assistants to support us in various subject areas, depending on their personal interests and current tasks.
