Einführung
As a Senior Calibration and Validation (Cal/Val) Engineer, you will ensure the quality monitoring and calibration of our data products derived from our sensors.
Aufgaben
- Execute calibration and validation protocols for thermal, NIR and RGB earth observation data products
- Assist in maintaining and designing calibration setups and hardware
- Support performance assessments of instruments and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in calibration campaigns, including planning, execution, and reporting
- Manage external calibration campaigns and collaborations with customers
- Support quality assurance processes for all data products
- Contribute to the analysis of data trends and performance metrics
- Manage reference validation datasets
- Contribute to the development of scalable validation algorithms and methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Represent the company in key collaborations and industry workshops
- Generate comprehensive data quality reports
Voraussetzungen
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Physics, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in calibration and validation of remote sensing data products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating with technical teams
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in data quality assurance and validation processes
- Ph.D. in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience (preferred)
- Experience with thermal Earth observation data and instruments (preferred)
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals related to data calibration and validation (preferred)
- Experience collaborating with external stakeholders qualifying data products (preferred)
