Einführung
The Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden is seeking a motivated full-stack developer to enhance the accessibility of its electronic-structure package FPLO through a web service.
Aufgaben
- Develop a web service providing access to text-based and graphical components of FPLO
- Develop, test, and deploy infrastructures on IFW servers
- Create a simple registration/login interface
- Ensure seamless work of multiple independent users
- Allow users to download generated files before logging out
Voraussetzungen
- Strong skills in frontend (HTML, JavaScript, frameworks)
- Strong skills in backend (Python, Java, or C+)
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Experience with version control systems (git)
- Experience with X11 forwarding software (e.g., xpra) is advantageous
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
Benefits
- Full-time position (part-time possible)
- Limited contract for 12 months with the possibility of extension
- Remuneration based on collective bargaining law for public service (TV-L)
