Einführung
The WZB Berlin Social Science Center is seeking a post-doctoral research fellow to join the Global Sociology research unit led by Professor Yasemin Soysal. The research focuses on globalization, global cultural scripts, and the impact on individual and collective actors. The ideal candidate will contribute to innovative empirical solutions and collaborate on publications. The position offers opportunities for independent research and collaboration within the unit and the SCRIPTS program.
Aufgaben
- Contribute conceptually and empirically to the study of global processes in various research fields
- Design and implement quantitative and comparative analyses, including large scale surveys
- Publish empirically grounded research in international, peer-reviewed journals
- Collaborate in designing and drafting project proposals for further funding
Voraussetzungen
- Doctoral degree in Sociology or a related social science discipline
- Profound knowledge and experience of quantitative methods of empirical social research
- Competence in social science survey research methods and data analysis tools
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, preferably another language
