with the regular weekly working hours of currently 19.75 hours (50%).
The position is limited until the end of the project (31.12.2027). Depending on the personal requirements and the assigned tasks, the grouping takes place up to salary group 13 TV-L. The place of work is IDS Mannheim.
Tasks:
- Enriching datasets with legal metadata, i.e. metadata reflecting (a) the IPR status; (b) the licensing status; (c) the data protection status and if necessary (d) other relevant legal information (e.g. related to the AI Act, Data Act or Data Governance Act).
- Keeping track of any modifications of the legal framework that may impact the DataGEMS project.
- Preparing (individually, in small and larger groups) of project deliverables, academic publications, scientific presentations related to the DataGEMS project.
Requirements:
In addition to a doctorate in law, ideally with a focus on data-intensive research, data protection and copyright law, and a Master’s degree in linguistics or related field, the position requires in-depth knowledge and/or qualifications in the following areas:
- EU programs and initiatives such as the European Strategy for Data, European Data Spaces, European Open Science Cloud
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, including its professional and academic varieties
- Strong ability to work in a team
