Einführung
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is seeking a Research Assistant/PostDoc in the field of Correlative Spectroscopy at the IKTS site in Forchheim, Bavaria. The research work focuses on developing workflows for the correlative and multimodal microscopic and spectroscopic characterization of complex samples in energy, semiconductor devices, and bio-medical tissues. The role involves project development, management, acquisition of industrial contract research, and networking in the academic and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate should have a scientific university degree, expertise in spectroscopy techniques, project management experience, and a willingness to supervise students and technical staff. Fluency in English, interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and industry knowledge in correlative spectroscopy and energy research are advantageous.
Aufgaben
- Develop and manage projects in the field of Correlative Spectroscopy
- Support the acquisition of industrial contract research and initiation of national and international research projects
- Expand networks with customers and scientists in the field of multimodal analytics and energy, semiconductor, and bio-medical research
- Supervise student assistants and provide experimental guidance
Voraussetzungen
- Scientific university degree preferably with a PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or related field
- Expertise in spectroscopy techniques and data analysis
- Experience in co-developing innovative technology projects and solutions
- Ability to supervise students and technical staff
- Experience in project acquisition and management
- Knowledge in characterizing complex nanoarchitectures and thin films for energy, electronics, photonics, and sensor technology
- Clear and authoritative communication in interdisciplinary and international environments
- Fluency in English
- Team player with experience in interdisciplinary groups and project networks
- Industry knowledge in correlative spectroscopy and energy research
- Interest in modelling and simulations
- Assertiveness, methodical approach, commitment, and leadership skills
- Experience in setting up complex laboratory infrastructures
