candi solar, a rooftop and ground mount solar company operating in Asia and Africa, is seeking a Project Management Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of solar projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, experience in the solar industry, and a passion for renewable energy. Responsibilities include managing project partners, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders. The role requires travel within South Africa and potentially to other regions.
Aufgaben
- Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of solar projects
- Reviewing and approving all deliverables by project partners
- Managing project partners to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Interacting with the technical sales team for project handover
- Managing project risks and taking corrective actions
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners
- Ensuring compliance with regulators and permitting
- Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and vendors
- Supporting development of company processes and procedures
Voraussetzungen
- B.Eng or M.Eng in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 3-4 years experience in commercial and industrial (C&I) solar space in South Africa
- Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Knowledge of solar technology, project financing, and regulatory requirements
- Dynamic personality with ability to support technical sales and liaise with clients
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Docs/Sheets
- Valid residency or work permit for South Africa
