Einführung
APRI - Africa Policy Research Institute is seeking a Project Intern to support the Nigerian Methane Mitigation Project under the climate change Program. The intern will assist in research, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis related to methane mitigation in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, gaining valuable experience in environmental sustainability and climate protection.
Aufgaben
- Conduct research on methane emissions in the oil and gas sector
- Support in gathering information and data for reports
- Maintain a database of research sources
- Coordinate stakeholder consultations and meetings
- Document stakeholder inputs and prepare policy briefs
- Organize and maintain project documentation
- Develop communication materials and raise awareness online
- Provide administrative assistance to the project team
- Track project progress and update documentation
Voraussetzungen
- Current enrolment in or completed a graduate degree program in climate change, environmental science, international relations, or related field
- Interest in environmental sustainability, climate change, or energy-related issues
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online research platforms
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic project environment
