Therefore, restoring and protecting our marine and inland waters is one of the urgent tasks of our time and addressed by the EU Mission Restore our oceans and waters by 2030. The overall objective of the AquaINFRA project is to develop a Virtual Research Environment (VRE) platform equipped with FAIR multi-disciplinary data and services to support marine and freshwater scientists and stakeholders restoring healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters.

We seek an individual who is keen on transforming the European aquatic data and software landscape to support research communities. The vision is that researchers can analyse and host their data, software and workflows online while using available open-source tools. The AquaINFRA platform will be part of the larger architecture of the European Open Science Cloud (https://eosc.eu). The successful applicant is envisioned to conduct a case study where research and the contribution to the infrastructure go hand-in-hand.
