Einführung
Join the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung as a Postdoc in Hadron Physics, working with pion beams and contributing to world-class research in a dynamic international environment.
Aufgaben
- Monte Carlo studies of exclusive reactions in pion-proton scattering
- Coordinating the preparatory activities for the experiment and taking part in the data taking
- Evaluation (calibration, reconstruction, analysis) of data from the HADES experiment
- Presentation of the results in national and international meetings
- Disseminate world-class research via publications and Conference presentations
Voraussetzungen
- PhD in the field of experimental hadron or heavy-ion physics
- Experience in the Operation and calibration of complex detector Systems, e.g. HADES
- Proficiency in coding/software (C/C++) and in data analysis and Monte Carlo simulations
- Outstanding analytic skills
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work both in a team and independently
- Ability to (co)supervise (under)graduate students
- Proficient at organizing and writing scientific documents describing the work
