The mission of the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) is to deliver solutions for an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable agriculture – together with society. ZALF is located in Müncheberg (approx. 35 minutes by regional train from Berlin-Lichtenberg).
ZALF's research is addressed in three program areas. The Impact Assessment of Land Use Change research group analyses changes in agricultural landscapes, their value for people and their impacts for sustainable development.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher with expertise in agriculture and/or environmental sciences. The ideal candidate should have expertise in data interpretation and reuse, combined with an understanding of agricultural and soil experimental systems.

Your tasks:
- Expanding and improving our LTE (meta)database and overview map.
- Conducting advanced statistical and geospatial analyses on experimental data.
- Identifying and curating relevant spatial and experimental datasets.
- Developing and presenting impactful narratives for data repositories.
- Supporting the development of knowledge management strategies.
- Contributing to high-quality scientific publications.
Your qualifications:
- PhD degree in agriculture, environmental science, or related subjects.
- Expertise in geospatial and/or experimental data analysis.
- Experience in long-term experimental systems.
- Experience in programming (mainly R, Python, and/or MATLAB) is a plus.
- Proven ability to write scientific papers for publication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility to grasp new interdisciplinary topics.
