Einführung
The Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Post-doc Scientist with a background in agricultural, geological, biological, data, computational, mathematical, or environmental sciences. The position involves developing methods for integrating models for human decision making and biophysical models for ecosystem services, integrating agent-based modelling with reinforcement learning for spatially explicit land-use and demand modelling, and analyzing the interplay effects of mechanistic biophysical and behavioral models in the landscape context. Good command of programming is mandatory, and previous experience in mechanistic modelling and advanced statistical approaches is beneficial. The position offers a full-time contract for 36 months and is located in Müncheberg, Germany.
Aufgaben
- Develop methods for integrating models for human decision making and biophysical models for ecosystem services
- Integrate agent-based modelling with reinforcement learning for spatially explicit land-use and -demand modelling
- Analyse the interplay effects of mechanistic biophysical and behavioural models in the landscape context
Voraussetzungen
- PhD in agricultural, geological, biological, data, computational, mathematical, or environmental sciences
- Good command of programming
- Previous experience in mechanistic modelling and advanced statistical approaches
