The Portfolio Strategy Intern position at Statkraft's Southern European Origination team in Düsseldorf offers a unique opportunity to work in the renewable energy sector and gain insights into energy trading and portfolio management. The intern will support senior portfolio strategists and analysts in building pricing tools, improving portfolio information systems, and contributing to product development initiatives. This role requires a strong interest in renewables and power markets, excellent quantitative and analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and Python, and a background in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. The intern will have the chance to learn about power markets, renewable energy, and energy trading while contributing to the team's growth and development.
Aufgaben
- Support senior portfolio strategist and analysts in building pricing and valuation tools
- Improve detail and consistency of key portfolio information across systems
- Support product development initiatives and projects for Portfolio Management
- Create systems and tools to help business scale
- Gain understanding of power markets and renewable energy trading fundamentals
Voraussetzungen
- Interest in renewables and power market
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficiency in data analysis/data science in Excel and Python (or R, Matlab, etc.)
- Currently studying Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or other relevant analytical field
- High level of motivation and structured way of working
- Clear communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Understanding of power market is an advantage
