Einführung
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Anode Scientist with a proven track record and a strong background in lithium metal anode and host anode development.
Aufgaben
- Design and conduct experiments related to lithium metal anode implementation within lithium-sulfur batteries, focusing on high energy density, cycle life, fast charging and safety within pouch cells.
- Develop and design new concepts that go beyond the current research paradigm of lithium metal anodes.
- Carry out both ex-situ as well as in-situ characterizations of the cells using a variety of analytical techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including materials scientists, chemists, electrochemists and engineers to advance theion’s lithium-sulfur battery technology.
- Effectively document and communicate project progress and technical challenges through technical reports and presentations to diverse teams.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in lithium metal anodes and energy storage.
- Contribute towards the development of novel ideas for IP filling within the field of expertise.
- Contribute to the scaling and commercialization of lithium metal anode technologies within lithium-sulfur batteries in collaboration with multiple teams.
Voraussetzungen
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in lithium metal anode development, preferably within pouch cells.
- Deep understanding of lithium metal anodes, including dendrite suppression, interface stabilization, and electrolyte-anode interactions.
- Hands-on experience with materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, and battery performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in characterization techniques such as SEM, XPS, Raman and EIS.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or patents related to lithium anode technology.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
